This is the combined form of two creatures, the mammalian Anodona and the insect Kanabaan. Upon finding a host anodona, the kanabaan will latch onto its back and force its legs under the creature's skin. Eventually their circulatory systems fuse together and they become a single being. Although the relationship may seem to be simple parasitism, anodona with a kanabaan host seem to survive better than their hostless counterparts, are bolder, and eat more meat (the base species is almost entirely herbivorous). Only the female kanabaan seeks out a host; the male is free-ranging.
