Love Letter to Fandom
Write a love letter to fandom. It might be to fandom in general, to a particular fandom, favourite character, anything at all.
I don't think I can do this one. Hmm. But what would I write? Dear fandom, let's be friends because I like you OK, but I sure don't love you? Dear fandom, it's not you, it's me? Or maybe it's you because, no offense, you make loving things a lot less fun? And face it, fandom, you're everywhere, you sucked up all my other spaces, and maybe I want to focus my energy on stuff I actually enjoy rather than trying to be what you want me to be? You're cool and I wish you all the best but it's just not working out. Love, me.
Dammit I don't think the prompt was to write a breakup letter but here we are.
In a better spirit of the challenge... To the other spaces that vanished: thanks for giving me somewhere that made me happy, brief though it was. Sorry I was a crap writer at the time. I promise you I'm slightly less crap these days. I even finished something! I know, I'm shocked too.
